Agartala-- (UNB) – Touring Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) team earned an exciting four-wicket victory over Tripura Sport Journalists Club (TSJC) in a friendly cricket match here yesterday (Saturday). Sent into bat first, TSJC team scored 203 runs for all in 29.3 overs with one down Debabrata Chakraborty making highest 43 runs off 64 balls hitting five boundaries. Number five bat Monimoy Ray quick-fired 36 runs off 34 balls with five fours while opener Aniruddha Laskar made 35 runs from 34 balls featuring six fours and a six. Jahangir Shah Badsha, Nadir Shah and Mujtaba Danish grabbed two wickets each conceding 20, 29 and 37 runs respectively. In reply, BSJA team reached their target scoring 204 runs for six wickets with five balls to spare. Number five batsmen Hassan Bablee played an anchor role for Bangladesh contributing not out 58 runs in just 50 balls including eight fours. One down Partha Tanveer Naved added an useful 36 runs off 39 balls hitting three fours and a six while number four Asif Iqbal made 34 in 28 balls with 6 fours. Manimoy Roy and Dulal Chakraborty took two wickets each giving away 22 and 31 runs respectively. Hasan Bablee of BSJA was adjudged man of the match. Prior to the match, Tripura Sports Minister Jitendra Chowdhury and Industries Minister Pabitra Kar were introduced to the players of both the teams. President of Tripura Cricket Association NK Dutta distributed token prizes while Secretary, Tripura Sports Council, Kamol Saha handed over the trophy. It was the third consecutive win for BSJA team against TSJC in limited over cricket. Brief score: TSJC- 203 all out in 29.3 overs.
